Mill Green Cottage

THE COTTAGE

Mill Green Cottage is a beautiful Cotswold home at the heart of the 550 acre Lower Mill Estate. The cottage is ideal for families with youngsters as well as for those couples and small groups looking to relax. The home is welcoming and well furnished, you have your own grassy area outside for sitting and playing and a small shallow stream with stunning lake views beyond.

You have a 3 bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms, 1 ensuite and 3 toilets. You could accommodate 6 people comfortably. There is a log burner, open plan downstairs, a fully applianced Cotswold oak kitchen for those home cooked meals, large dining table, plenty of sofa space to relax and your own outdoor grassy area (south facing) where dogs can have a walk and children can play. Beyond the cottage lawn is the small village green where your children can do sports and parents have full and close view from the property. An outdoor heated pool and tennis court beside the green are available for guests to use as well as many other activities available on site.

Just a 5 minute walk and you will have free use of the ARTSPA with additional indoor and outdoor heated pools, a lily-filtered eco-pool, sauna, steam room, gym and spa treatments. For treatments it is best to book these before arrival with the Spa at additional cost. The cottage benefits from free onsite parking and is pet friendly.

THE LOCAL AREA

There is a cafe on site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a convenience store for any holiday essentials. A 5 minute drive away to Ashton Keynes and there is a village shop selling local Cotswold farmer produce open 7-7 daily. A further 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk is Somerford Keynes for a beautiful Cotswold pub serving food daily and an amazing Sunday roast dinner. The estate is part of the Cotswold Water Park, Cirencester is only a 10 minute drive, Bourton-on-the-water and the famous lavender fields are a 30-40 minute drive away and well worth the trip. We are a 10 minute drive from Kemble Railway station which has a direct train into London Paddington.

LOWER MILL ESTATE

Lower Mill Estate is built around a large and diverse nature reserve supporting a range of wonderful habitats and wildlife. For those eager to get close to nature, you have hundreds of acres of nature reserve to explore with the woodlands and hedgerows acting as home to a diverse range of native wildlife. Scenic lakes provide plenty of opportunity for boating and fishing, while cyclists and runners can take advantage of the fresh clean air in complete safety thanks to a network of private footpaths. Over 25 species of waterbirds can be seen on the lakes over Winter. Spring brings a huge range of breeding birds including Nightingale, Cuckoo and Cetti’s Warbler. ACTIVITIES

Bike riding, kayaking, supping, hiking, fishing, yoga, tennis, football are available all year around. Equipment hire and guided activities at the Activities Centre, a 5 minute walk.

THE SPA FACILITY

The cottage has free access to the award-winning family estate ArtSPA Spa, a 5 minute walk away and is the ultimate place to unwind and recharge. With two heated pools, a lily-filtered eco-pool, sauna, steam room and gym equipped with top-of-the-range Technogym equipment, there’s something for everyone. Tranquil treatment rooms scented with essential oils play host to therapies including hot stone massage, facials and pedicures and manicures using natural skincare products from The Natural Spa Factory.

DEPOSIT

No deposit required. We do hope you respect and treat our cottage as your own home.

CLEANING

We ask for £60 towards cleaning and an additional £20 for each pet. Only two small dogs or one big dog allowed please. Check in is from 4 pm, check out by 10 pm.

ETHOS

Mill Village is a peaceful getaway from it all in the countryside. Long walks, bike rides, swimming and rest and relaxation are some of the key attractions for our guests be it couples, families or groups of friends looking to get away from it all. We are afraid we aren't able to welcome stag or hen parties or sports groups. Please contact us prior to booking if you're not a mixed group as we will require approval from the estate before accepting you to stay.
